.NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain extension is the only one meant for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domain names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the current registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special prerequisites on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost.
