CNAME Records in Shared Hosting
In case you have a shared hosting plan through our company and you would like to create a CNAME record, it'll take you a few mouse clicks to do it. You can access the DNS records for all domain names and subdomains hosted inside your account from the Hepsia CP offered with each plan and adding a new record is as simple as clicking on a button, selecting the type, that will be CNAME in this case, typing the actual record value and saving the change. In case you have never added this sort of record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial which you can watch, or you can just contact us and we'll assist you with this task. If you have built a site through another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you want to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, like Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of clicks inside your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and you would like to create a CNAME record, it will take only a couple of clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel in which you will discover a section devoted to the DNS records of the domain names and subdomains hosted inside the account. To create a CNAME record, you'll only have to select the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), type in where the latter is going to be directed to and save the modification. The new record is going to be active almost immediately in our system and will propagate worldwide within a few hours. Changing or deleting an existing CNAME record inside the account is equally simple and easy and takes a click. In case you experience any problems, you can go through our detailed help article, watch the short video on the topic that we have added in the Control Panel, or simply contact us for assistance.
